MA CHIU, 'God-Father' of the 'Triad Society' in U.S.A. send his wife CHEU and his men to HK to recover the gold his father send to HK through WONG KIT during World War II. WONG KIT is attacked by MA CHIU's men in the park and CHI TAI rescued him. MA's men sneek into WONG's home trying to question him about the lost gold. WONG's daughter HUE LAN finds them and drives them away. WONG KIT tells HUE LAN about what happens with the gold.

WONG KIT recalls that the gold was lost after the death of the receiver, CHAN CHUNG. HUNG employs CHU, a private eye to investigate YAU, who has some connection with the lost gold. KIT LING finds that YAU suddenly becomes a rich man forty years ago and he places a strange advertisement in the newspaper for a strang appointment every year. CHIU then discovers that YAU is her uncle and visits him in order to find some clues on the lost gold. YAU is indifferent to CHEU and tells her nothing. YAU then employs CHU to investigate HUNG when he discovers that HUNG is suspecting him.
